Pollen is the means of fertilisation in plant life, permitting the ovules in the plant to
develop into seeds. This transfer of pollen is carried out by (among others) the honey
bee, which can carry its own weight in either pollen or honey.
The protein content of pollen is high and it is interesting to note that weight for weight,
polen contains as much as five times more protein than eggs, cheese or beef.
The waste matter at the bottom of bee-hives is commonly eaten in Russia. This material
is called honey-scrap and contains a little honey, but is otherwise almost pure pollen. An
investigation into the longevity of Russian bee-keepers indicated that those who lived well
over normal life span had lived for many years on a diet consisting essentially of this
pollen-rich material.
Pollen is a very effective supplementary food and particularly helpful to those who lead
a life of stress or who are susceptible to the illnesses which follow modern life. Professor
Remy-Chauvin of Paris has written: ".....Many important minerals and vitamins are
absent (from our diet) because of the purification of foods. This causes disturbances in
our organism which are all too well-known to us and which lead to great discomfort.
Tiredness, lowered resistance to illness, loss of appetite, weakness and depression,
premature ageing, and especially frequently occuring intestinal and digestive
disturbances (such as constipation) and difficulties which arise because of food that
is nutritionally insufficient."
Scientists can now after many years of research, testify that bee-collected pollen is a
very valuable product.
Directions: one tablet to be swallowed (with liquid if required) first thing every
morning or last thing at night, on an empty stomach. Continuous regular course
is recommended.
Ingredients: Bee-collected pollen, Calcium Phosphate, Dolomite, Lactose,
Corn Starch, Corn Protein, Mannitol. Natural colurs: Iron Oxides.
