45 deg Turning Tool

STDCR/L toolholders use the three 60º corners of TCMT inserts, mounted at 45º to the axis of the lathe. They can be used for rough turning and facing, and their 45º approach angle means they can be used to form chamfers without moving the tool post. When the insert corners have been used for facing or turning, the middle of the edges can be used for chamfering.

Shank size 10 uses Insert Type 4
Shank sizes 12,16 use Insert Type 5
